Hi i’m Hannah and I’m a serial binge watcher.

I mean you’ll probably know this if you follow me on twitter after I got sucked in to watching stranger things and watched both series in 2 and a half days.

post on twitter about binge watching stranger things

So when Panasonic contacted me about writing about my most binge watchable tv shows. I just thought this was definitely my cup of tea! So this post is in collaboration with Panasonic HDR 4K TV.

Hopefully you have a lot more self control than I do, and are able to continue everyday life and not stay up to stupid times in the morning being unable to stop watching.

Anyway here are my recent favourite tv shows to binge watch:

Stranger Things

Now how could I not mention this one. I watched the whole first season in a day and the second season didn’t take much longer. I’m a huge fan! I wasn’t sure how much I was going to like it. But I loved it! If you are into the 80’s or sci fi, it’s definitely a show you need to watch. Can’t wait for season 3. Hopefully Will will get the chance to have a good day for once.

Now I blame my mum for this one. She was addicted to Suits when she first started watching it and also got me hooked. If you love a good comedy or drama you’ll love suits. And it’s a great binge tv programme with seven season so it sound keep even the least self controlled binge watcher going a while! Season 8 is due to be out summer next year which means even more to watch!

Teen Wolf

Now Teen Wolf was a show that didn’t interest me for a long time. Then Shelby posted about Teen Wolf and especially Dylan O’brien. So I gave it a go and got hooked! If you like supernatural shows as well as comedy dramas you’ll probably like this. All six season are on netflix too. So if you are needing a funny but also action/ horror programme to watch you should give Teen Wolf a go.

Parks and Recreations

Now I know I’m late to this one but it’s too good not to mention. I have watched this show multiple times but it’s always one of my go-to’s when I’m feeling a bit down and need a bit of a pick me up. Honestly one of the funniest tv programmes I’ve ever watched! It is about the weird antic’s that public officials of the town of Pawnee get up to as they try to make their town a better place. My favourite character is 100% Ron Swanson.

Thank you to Panasonic for sponsoring this post. If you have anymore favourite shows to binge watch I’d love to know. I feel like I’ve managed to binge watch everything and would love to have some more stuff to watch.

5 years ago, I probably thought that by now I would have my career well underway, saving for a house, thinking about settling down. But that is no where near what life is like right now. A few months ago I would was disappointed that I wasn’t where I wanted to be. It wasn’t even in sight. It still isn’t. Not being where I wanted to be in the crazy stupid time scales that I gave myself when have bring me down and sad and make me potential give up all together.

But i’ve come to terms with the fact that I am only 22 and it’s really not that important that I have my life sorted right now. I’m taking things slow, doing it at my own pace and as clique as it sounds enjoying the journey of getting to where I want to be. Rather than setting myself unrealistic goals that I have been doing for god knows how long. I wrote a post about graduating and not being where I wanted to be and how some make it there quicker than others.

I feel like my 20’s are meant to be the years for my personal growth. Learning the things I love, figuring out truly what it is I want in life. Rather than deciding everything now, and making huge decisions and regretting them a few years later. I’m happy with where I am now. I’m having fun and enjoying life.

What I’ve found useful for myself is checking in with myself every month or so and look back at where I was a month ago and see if there is any progress at all. Even small. If there is then that is good enough for me.

It’s okay that you’ve been taking your time as long as you are making progress to your goal it doesn’t matter how slow it is. I know I’ll get to where I want to be one day it just may not be any day soon. If I could tell my younger self one thing it would be to not worry about making it to my goal so quickly and stop setting such unrealistic goals.

Now this isn’t something I thought I would be writing about especially not anytime soon anyway.  But I’m actually starting to feel happy with the body I have. Yeah, it’s likely to change by next week. But who’s know I could actually just be feeling better about myself.

My body image is something I’ve battle with for god knows how long. Spending years feeling the need to lose weight not to be healthy but to just feel ‘look better’. Yo-yo dieting over and over again. Feeling better and happy when the scale went down and then when it went up feeling horrible and depressed. My weight has been something that has affected my mood for as long as I remember.

But I’m starting to except it for what it is.

I’m excepting the spots that I always get on my chin, my chubby cheeks, my thighs that are chubbier than I’d like and the stretch marks on my tummy.

Don’t get me wrong I’d love to be tanned, have perfect skin and thinner. But I have so much stuff I would rather be doing than spending it making every part of my body look the best it possibly can. And a lot of things are probably never going to change.

The funny thing is, is that I’m actually losing weight now even though I’m not as bothered about how I look. Just trying to be healthier and not using my emotions as a reason to eat. Being happy and happy with myself has helped with my overeating without even having to try so much.

My body has allowed me to do some pretty great things. It may not be perfect but I’m learning to love it for what it is. And for the first time I can remember I’m starting to feel happy with it just how it is. I may not be perfect but who really is?

When I first graduated, I had just a regular job that was okay. The best part was when I came home and that was it. I could just relax, socialise and spend time with friends and family. Now that I part time freelance and part time work in a shop I found that increasingly more difficult to do so. A month or so ago I became so drained with no energy and had no time to do anything other than just work. Now I’ve managed to balance my work and socialising better and I feel so much better than I did a month ago. Having a better work- life balance has become very important to me.

When I first started working from home I found myself just sat at my laptop for hours on end not really getting much done and stressing thinking about everything I needed to do. The stress and worry of the amount of things I needed to do was making me less productive meaning I would have more to worry about and the cycle would just repeat over and over again.

Something I’d wanted to do for so long and I thought would make me so happy was making me miserable. When I started giving myself more time to myself or to spend with friends and family I found that I was not only happier but so much more productive in the hours I gave myself to work.

Here are just some things I did to improve my work-life balance.

Work Smarter

I read in an article to work smarter and work productively. You need to prioritise the most important tasks you need to get done in the day and give yourself a certain amount of time to get it done in. By doing this you are more likely to be productive and get the most you can get done in a shorter amount of time. I use a daily planner to help schedule my day hour by hour of what needs to be done as well as write a to do list for the day.

Another way I’ve been more productive is by becoming a morning person too. I love getting all my work out the way in the morning so I have the evening to myself.

Set aside time for you

Give yourself some time to do the things you love. Whether that’s a hobby you have or seeing family or friends. Whatever makes you happy. Make sure you have time to not think about work and just do the things you enjoy.

Turn of your phone, get off your emails whatever you need to do to get yourself away from work. If I’m having a day off I stay well away from my emails. They can all wait a day. Make sure you have some time where you can’t be sucked back in by work.

Here are just so things I do to achieve a better work- life balance and I feel so much happier for it.

It can be hard if you have a demanding career but it will be worth it once you have it sorted.

Before I went to university I was a complete morning person. Always up and out of bed before 7 normally. Then University ruined all that. I was lucky if I ever saw the morning. And even since then until a few months ago even if I woke up early I struggled to get out of bed at an early time. But the last few months I’ve been so motivated and getting up early, even getting out of bed early and doing work early. So here are just a few things I’ve been doing to start being a morning person.

Get up at the same time everyday

Now I can’t say I’m perfect at this one, but I try my best. Most days I try and wake up at around 7 and be out of bed for about half past. I sometimes lie in from time to time but waking up and getting up at the same time everyday makes it so much easier over time to be a morning person.

Have something to look forward to when you wake up

This could be waking up and having your coffee or working out depending on what you enjoy doing. Or it could be having plans for the evening and knowing as soon as you have your work done you can see friends, go for dinner, do activities you love. Stop waiting for Friday’s to start enjoying life. Make sure everyday is enjoyable.

Have a better night time routine

Going to bed earlier, not looking at electronics before you go to bed both are good ways of making sure you’ll feel better in the morning. Try and give yourself half an hour or so before you go to bed to just wind down and get yourself ready for bed. Create a calm experience for yourself before you go to sleep and over time your body will get used to it and know when it’s time to sleep and shut down.

So they’re just a few things I do to try be a morning person.
