Resolutions and goals for 2018

So it’s been a while ( 3 weeks to be exact). I’ve been so busy making travel plans as well as all the stuff that comes along with the festive period. But I am now back properly! And hopefully back to a regular schedule again. There are quite a few things I want to achieve this year. You may have already seen my 2018 travel goals which I posted before christmas. However there is some everyday goals I want to achieve this year. So here are some of my goals and resolutions for 2018.

Make more time for friends

2017 I spent a lot of time focusing on work. I did try and make more time for friends/family as I wrote about in my work/life balance post however a lot of the time work still got in the way or even if it didn’t I was rather unsociable. So this year I’m going to spend more time being sociable. I’ve already been more sociable so far this year than I was for the last 3 month of last year. So it’s already looking positive!

Take up a new hobby

I really want to find a new hobby for a way for me to relax and escape for day to day life. I’m not sure exactly what it is I want to do. But it’s something I’m really thinking about at the moment and hopefully I will figure out soon.

Learn a language

Throughout school I spent so much time learning different languages which none of which I continued after leaving school. I really want to pick one back up again and try and learn and be able to have full conversations. I think the one I am going to pick back up again is Spanish as I feel that will be the most useful for me in the long run.

Spend more time talking to the blogging community

I feel like even though I spend so much time on social media and on my blog, I don’t spend much time talking to others or reading others blogs which is something I really want to change this year. So if you know any good chats on twitter or any of your favourite blogs I would love to know so I can start trying to make more effort in the blogging community and hopefully make some more friends along the way.

Travel more

Now this one isn’t probably much of a surprise. I want to travel a lot more in 2018 compared to 2017. Both locally and internationally. I’ve already been making quite a few plans so travelling more is highly likely this year.

I hope everyones new year is going great so far. What new years resolutions have you made for yourself? I would love to hear other peoples resolutions.

Great resolutions! I want to get more involved in the blogging community too. As a new blogger it’s hard to know where to start and what’s going on! Any tips?
