Now if you’ve read my previous posts like my travel bucket list. You’ll know I love a good travel list. Which is why even though I’ve had this book for ages I am still obsessed with it.

The photos and the descriptions of all the places in this book just make me want to visit them all.

So here are just some of the reasons I love it so much.

One of the reasons I love this books so much is that I love lists. I love a clear list of places I want to go and see. This book helps me to add new places easily. I’m now trying to visit as many of these places as possible.

The photos in this book are just fantastic. They make me want to go to each and every place making them all look so beautiful.

For each of the 500 locations there is a bit of basic information about each place. Even though it is fairly basic and some people may know the majority of it, there was still quite a lot that I didn’t know before reading this book which was helpful as it also gave some tips for certain places.

One of the best things I have found with this book though is that there were so many places beforehand that I’d either never heard of or at least never thought of going to before and it has made me add so many new places to the list of places I need to visit.

Every time I’m feeling a bit down or just needing a little bit of added wanderlust to my life I always turn to this book for some inspiration.

So we are now going into a new season. Part of me is sad to see Summer go and part of me is ready for cosy jumpers and hot chocolate and halloween. It also means its time to look for new clothes for the season. I thought I would show you some of the things I have been lusting over and will be tempted to buy this season.

So August has been a pretty big month for me. This blog launched which has been so great and exciting. So I thought I would share some of my favourite things I’ve found this month.

looking over York

If you haven’t already seen me go on and on about this Dress already then where have you been! I’ve been talking about it so much on my social media and blog. It’s become my absolute favourite this month!

Infallible foundation and NYX Eyeshadow Palette

So I tried to pick just one Beauty favourite for the month but I couldn’t. I managed to narrow it down to two though.

So first the NYX Palette. Well I am obsessed. I now wear this all the time. I am loving the warm neutrals for this Autumn too. The best thing about it was that it was only £16 too!

Now for quite some time I’ve not bought any drugstore foundations and oh have I been making a mistake! I’d heard so many good things about the Infallible foundation but I just assumed it was over hyped. But it’s not. It’s incredible. If you love full coverage foundation you need to try it!

A couple of weeks ago I spend a bit of time in York. I always forget how much I love York. The Minister, shops and oh my god the Fudge! If you’ve never been it is definitely worth the visit! If you want to read more about my trip you can here.

Atypical has been my favourite show this month. Atypical is a Netflix original series about an 18 year old on the Autism Spectrum trying to seek more independence. The show is really funny. I was gutted that it was only 8 episodes!

So here you have it my favourites for August.

So on Sunday’s I like to catch up with blog posts I haven’t had chance to read throughout the week. This morning while I was doing this I noticed that I always seem to go back to the same bloggers a lot this month. So I thought I would write a post about my favourite blogs of the month.

catching up on my favourite blogs

Annie Writes Beauty

Annie Writes Beauty is the place I go for beauty reviews. Annie does fairly in depth review about certain products or ranges. One of my favourites is the blog post she did about the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette.

Em Talks

Em’s blog includes fitness, fashion, beauty and travel as well as other things. One of my favourite blog post she did recently was about the best of leeds restaurant week. This was useful to me as it gave me a lot of inspiration of new places to eat locally.

Rhianna Olivia

What I love about Rhianna is her personal post and blog advice. If you need help from blog props to how to speak to brands and sponsored posts, this is the blog for you. I’ve used so many of her tips to improve my blog. You can see Rhianna’s blog here.

The Kitty Luxe

The Kitty Luxe was one of the first blogs I started to read after finding her on Instagram. Her photography is so good especially as she only uses and Iphone for her photos. As well I just love her style. The blog includes many different categories including Fashion, Beauty, Travel and blogging tips. You can check out the Kitty Luxe here.

Hand Luggage Only

Now this is probably my favourite travel blog. It just makes my wanderlust go extreme! Their photography is incredible and just makes me want to visit so many places I would never have thought about before. There posts are also really informative and give lots of suggestions of what to do while you are in a certain place which is very useful. If you need travel inspiration or advice it is definitely the blog to visit.

So technically I didn’t graduate until November as thats when Sheffield Hallam do there graduations ( should explain the coats). So unlike everyone else my graduation was cold and I completely regretted not wearing tights.

Anyway, I did however finish in July last year so maybe one year since finishing uni would of been a better title, it just didn’t sound as good.

So around this time last year I got my results that I would be finishing university with a 2:1 in Psychology. At the time I was thrilled as I had been concerned I wasn’t going to do as well as I did.

Throughout this last year I have had many ideas of what I wanted to do but none ever felt right.

I spend most of the last year still living in Sheffield with my boyfriend in our tiny 1 bed flat, working at a bank. Not exactly what I had in mind when I finished university. It was okay though, it was meant to be my year to ‘figure out’ exactly what I wanted to do. But that didn’t happen.

First it was doing a masters I started to research different Universities looking at what I wanted to do. Then I decided that wasn’t for me, and started looking at graduate schemes including the company I was already working for but that just didn’t seem right either. Then I went back to wanting to do a masters again at the beginning of this year. Applied to a few Universities and got some offers. But then decided again I don’t think thats the right path for me, so I’m back to square one.

I am now unsure if I even want to do anything related to my degree. Which a few months ago made me question the point of my degree. Did I just waste 3 years of my life? Get into a load of debt for no reason? But I don’t think I did because god knows I may change my mind again. Plus I still learnt a lot even if I may never go into anything exactly related.

One of the hardest parts is comparing yourself to other people. With my graduation being in November by then most of my friends had started there graduate jobs or further education. Sometimes it’s hard to see everyone around you having success in what they are wanting when you’re stuck not knowing what you want.

The important thing is to realise that we are all different and some people find what they want and hit their goals quicker than others.

If you’d asked me a year ago where I’d be today it definitely wouldn’t be where I currently am but thats fine. Life doesn’t always go exactly how you imagined. I’m enjoying myself and having fun and currently that’s the most important thing to me.

I’m now currently back at home still not really knowing what I want to do with my life and learning that thats okay. Still trying to figure out what I want. Hopefully I will figure it out soon but I’ll be okay if I don’t.
