Now if you’ve read my previous posts like my travel bucket list. You’ll know I love a good travel list. Which is why even though I’ve had this book for ages I am still obsessed with it.

The photos and the descriptions of all the places in this book just make me want to visit them all.

So here are just some of the reasons I love it so much.

One of the reasons I love this books so much is that I love lists. I love a clear list of places I want to go and see. This book helps me to add new places easily. I’m now trying to visit as many of these places as possible.

The photos in this book are just fantastic. They make me want to go to each and every place making them all look so beautiful.

For each of the 500 locations there is a bit of basic information about each place. Even though it is fairly basic and some people may know the majority of it, there was still quite a lot that I didn’t know before reading this book which was helpful as it also gave some tips for certain places.

One of the best things I have found with this book though is that there were so many places beforehand that I’d either never heard of or at least never thought of going to before and it has made me add so many new places to the list of places I need to visit.

Every time I’m feeling a bit down or just needing a little bit of added wanderlust to my life I always turn to this book for some inspiration.

So we are now going into a new season. Part of me is sad to see Summer go and part of me is ready for cosy jumpers and hot chocolate and halloween. It also means its time to look for new clothes for the season. I thought I would show you some of the things I have been lusting over and will be tempted to buy this season.

So August has been a pretty big month for me. This blog launched which has been so great and exciting. So I thought I would share some of my favourite things I’ve found this month.

looking over York

If you haven’t already seen me go on and on about this Dress already then where have you been! I’ve been talking about it so much on my social media and blog. It’s become my absolute favourite this month!

Infallible foundation and NYX Eyeshadow Palette

So I tried to pick just one Beauty favourite for the month but I couldn’t. I managed to narrow it down to two though.

So first the NYX Palette. Well I am obsessed. I now wear this all the time. I am loving the warm neutrals for this Autumn too. The best thing about it was that it was only £16 too!

Now for quite some time I’ve not bought any drugstore foundations and oh have I been making a mistake! I’d heard so many good things about the Infallible foundation but I just assumed it was over hyped. But it’s not. It’s incredible. If you love full coverage foundation you need to try it!

A couple of weeks ago I spend a bit of time in York. I always forget how much I love York. The Minister, shops and oh my god the Fudge! If you’ve never been it is definitely worth the visit! If you want to read more about my trip you can here.

Atypical has been my favourite show this month. Atypical is a Netflix original series about an 18 year old on the Autism Spectrum trying to seek more independence. The show is really funny. I was gutted that it was only 8 episodes!

So here you have it my favourites for August.

Last week James and I went to stay overnight in York for a mini break. I thought I would tell you about the things we got up to while we were there.

When we got there were spent some time walking round the city. We went and walked though the Shambles. Which I love to go to every time I’m in York. If you’re a Harry Potter fan they’ve recently open a shop here which is mean’t to be great! We didn’t have time to go as the queues were huge so if that’s something you are wanting to do make sure you leave plenty of time for it. There is also so many other different shops in that area. My favourite being the Fudge Kitchen as I absolutely love fudge and always by a lot to stock up while I’m in York.

While we were walking around we found The York Roast company  who did Yorkshire pudding wraps. If you follow me on twitter or Instagram you may have already seen but they were incredible!

We also went to York Minister which is beautiful. Last time we went to York we had chance to go to the top which if you have time I recommend but we were pretty short on time this trip.

For dinner we went to The Cosy club . It was a vintage 1930’s style restaurant which had nice food and great cocktails!

The hotel we stayed it was the Hampton Hilton. The room was really lovely and we got breakfast included which is always a plus when staying in a hotel. The hotel was also really close to the train station which was really convenient for the both of us as we were both travelling by train.

Last week I made a post about my travel bucket list. If you’ve missed that then you can read it here. It got me thinking about all the places that I used to want to go to but have now had the opportunity to do so. I thought I would create a Reverse Travel bucket list of all the places that would be on my Bucket list now if I hadn’t already done them.

1. Australia

Before I went solo travelling in Australia in 2015 ( You can read about this here). I’d wanted to visit Australia to see the beautiful cities as well as the beaches. I wanted to try Surfing, see a Kangaroo and many other things which I got to do while I was there.

2. The Great Barrier Reef

One of the main things I wanted to do while in Australia was to see the Great Barrier Reef and go Scuba-diving as this is mean’t to be the best place to Scuba-dive.  I got to do this with a group and spent a few days sailing around the Great Barrier Reef.

3. Barcelona

Barcelona is one of the best places I’ve visited. The architecture is incredible and there is so many great places to visit like the Sagrada Familia, the Picasso Museum and Camp Nou. There are so many great things to see.

4. See Wild Dolphins

Dolphins are one of my favourite animals. I have had the chance to see them in captivity before but never in the wild. It had been my goal for some time to just see Dolphins in the wild, but while I was on a trip to Fraser Island I got to not only see wild Dolphins but also feed some river Dolphins. One of the best experiences ever!

So these were just a few things that I have been able to tick off my bucket list already. Hopefully I will be able to tick off a lot more in the next few years.
